The Weinfest of 2011 – what to expect

End of July is again a popular wine festival in the Wetzlar event calendar.

Of 29 to 31 July is the Wine Festival, which is now called Summer Night Wine Festival, attracts visitors to Wetzlar.  Around the chestnut on Schillerplatz different wines will be presented and other specialties.  The cultural program of the wine festival 2011 differs little from the program that a year previously offered.

And this year will be another 5 rheinhessiche pour their wine vintners.  The twin cities of Siena Wetzlar, Avignon and even Colchester will present wines from their home regions.

The wine estates are open on Friday at 16:00 clock.  The official opening of the wine festival will then be effected at 19:00 clock by the Rheinhessen wine queen. Then comes the first musical “evergreen” the renown wine festival, provides for the opening of “Pit Green” for the entertainment of hopefully many visitors. Since it is currently on the website of the “city marketing staff” no information about the program are accurate, I assume that as in previous years, the Wine Festival on Saturday and Sunday open at 11:00 clock.

Provides the musical entertainment on Saturday from 19:00 clock the next “long-running wine festival” Frank AA + Rhythm City.
Already in the afternoon from 14:30 clock of dance and sports clubs of the WCG, the visitors entertained with belly dancing.
The TEC provides for four Oriental groups, Ishtar, Meleck Banat, es Salaam and the glittering stars.

Sunday begins with a musical?
Right – The “Wetzlar salon orchestra” plays from 11:00 clock for brunch from 15:00 clock and then have the Wine Festival is already known “Dünsberg Buam” their use.

The “Dünsberg Buam” are his own words to a two-headed leather pants band from central Hesse.
They present a varied program of hearty Oberkrainer sounds of traditional Bohemian and Bavarian brass band, alpine rock from the Zillertal Alps or cult hit and Fetzer to sing along.
Her repertoire includes authentic folk music and mood and Oldies & Rock and Roll, Pop & Rock, pop & evergreens, country & western, or Party classics & Kölsche carnival hits.

The city marketing is so true to the motto “Never change a winning team”
Now we can only hope that even fine weather this year, because when the weather is nice and the wine will taste twice as good.

Sunday shopping

It is a novelty after all.
On Sunday the last day of the wine festival, there is a shopping Sunday in Wetzlar.
There are, however, have not only the businesses in close proximity to the wine festival, so in the old town, but open in the city.
